American history is saturated with disunity amongst races. As seasons change and times advance we have not put the past behind us contrary to popular belief. In fact we have let the past blind us in prejudice and stereotypes. What was an issue then is an issue now: comfort. Comfort in our status, our place in society, our roles, there is no need to interrupt a good thing or fix something that we don't notice is broken. Cultivating unity through ideas, thoughts, and work opens doors. Doors for healing, doors for hope, doors for reconciliation, and doors to make history. This is the call of the gospel and the call of love in this world that we should be living our lives in response to.
